Following their debut at CES 2026 and a successful Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign last February, Tomorrow Doesn’t Matter’s (TDM) Neo headphones are now available in the US. While Sony recently opted to reintroduce a headphone design from six years ago, TDM’s Neo delivers some genuinely unique headphone functionality through a flexible headband and extra drivers, allowing them to be rolled up and used as a Bluetooth speaker.
The Neo headphones are now available through TDM’s online store and retailers like Amazon and Walmart for $249 in black or white with an included carrying case. Instead of using ear cups that rotate 180 degrees to project sound outward, the Neo feature a pair of 40mm drivers inside each ear cup and an additional pair of 40mm drivers on the outside. When worn as traditional headphones only the inside drivers are active, but when rolled up the Neo’s outward-facing drivers function as a pair of 5-watt speakers.
TDM claims that when used as headphones, the Neo offer over 200 hours of listening, and both their battery and memory foam ear cushions are removable and replaceable. In Bluetooth speaker mode the estimated battery life significantly drops to around 16 hours but could potentially go even longer if your audio source doesn’t support Bluetooth and you instead connect it to the Neo using a 3.5mm audio cable.
The Verge’s John Higgins spent some time with the Neo at CES 2026, and while he found them a bit too bass-heavy and physically heavy because of the extra speaker hardware, he thought the headphones sounded good with a design that was easy and fun to roll up.
