Gaurav Biswas is the co-founder and CEO of TruKKer, a digital freight platform often described as an "Uber for trucks."
Biswas did not come from logistics. He trained as a structural engineer and worked in real estate before a dinner-table argument with friends convinced him there was a better way to match freight with trucks.
The first version of TruKKer launched in India in 2015 but struggled to scale. The company paused operations there in 2016 and shifted its commercial focus to the UAE, where long-haul freight routes were easier to prove.
Today, TruKKer says its network connects more than 75,000 trucks with about 1,200 enterprise clients across the Gulf, Türkiye, South Asia and parts of Central Asia. The company has also secured up to $300 million in financing from Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, backed by receivables from its freight network.
